Featuring three turf greens the Waverley Bowling & Recreation Club is one of the major lawn bowls centers in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
The Club is a popular spot for first-time bowlers and enthusiasts as well as more experienced bowlers alike to enjoy the facilities available seven days a week.
Our dining feature Sabroso’s, as well as our great bar for the necessary refreshments at Club prices, TV screens showing all major sports including Rugby League and Union, Football/Soccer and AFL makes this an all-round destination.
Parking is ample and free at Waverley Bowling Club which is conveniently situated only minutes from the famous Bondi Beach and Centennial Park. Bondi Junction train station is a 12 minute walk away and you’re only a short 10minute drive away from central Sydney. Buses serving this route are: 360 & 361

Only $10 a game (including bowls tuition if you’ve never played before..)
Barefoot Bowls is the type of sport you can play while simultaenously enjoying a beer or chilled glass of wine, nibbling on some food while catching up with friends either for a few hours of an afternoon.. or an entire day.
With our Greens enjoying so much sunshine throughout the day as well as feeling hidden away from the hectic pace of neighbouring beach areas, Waverley Bowling Club is a haven…which includes ample Free parking all day and night.

Sabroso Catering is a rarity that is no longer found in most Clubs – that is fresh, wholesome, tasty and affordable home style cooking 7 days of the week.
Luis Brito, head chef of Sabroso’s (ex-head chef of The Spanish Club and Bistro owner of The Albert Hotel, Annandale) along with his family, are a new addition to Waverley Bowling Club and the response from members and patrons has been Impressive from Day one.

Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday – LUNCH
Counter Lunches are available from the Bar. Freshly cooked meals available every week day for lunch.
Monday to Friday - DINNER
Monday and Tuesday – Bistro is closed. A limited selection of fresh Sabroso cooked meals are available to order from the bar.
Wednesday to Friday – Bistro is open from 5.00pm
WEEKENDS – LUNCH AND DINNER
Saturday & Sunday – Bistro is open from 12noon until 9.00pm
